155 songs and over 11 hours of music on Mog.com in preparation for Louisville’s Forecastle Festival, July 12-14.*

I’m hoping Robert Plant will play a Zeppelin tune or two, like this totally reconfigured “Black Dog” performance last year. I’m not even going to mention any other “must see” artists for fear of leaving anyone out, but here are a few of the headliners: The Black Keys, The String Cheese Incident, The Avett Brothers, Alabama Shakes, The Flaming Lips, Grace Potter & The Nocturnals, Toro Y Moi, Jim James, and Big Boi.
A few technical notes: I finished this list less than two weeks ago, but there are already a few tracks that Mog has removed from its service. I probably won’t be editing the list any further, even if the lineup changes. I’m already sad that Sharon Jones had to cancel her set.
There is a similar, although less extensive, list on Spotify that inspired my Mog playlist. I do not play favorites for either service, but I will mention that I prefer Mog because of its web-based music player. Spotify requires you to install an app on your computer, and I don’t like the interface. *Mog requires you to have an account to play music on its service. The free plan gives you a limited number of plays, although I don’t know how many exactly. I’ve used the $10/month unlimited mobile and web plan for over a year now.
