I honestly don't remember them. Plant formed this with Brian Setzer and some other Blues/R&B artists in '81. Rumor has it that they're looking to record again.

Never heard of them. But I bet they're pretty good. I'll have to check 'em out. According to AllMusic.com, Setzer joined the lineup for concert touring (and a Saturday Night Live appearance.)
What's even more impressive is Jimmy Page and Jeff Beck were in the group as well!

There was no "group" for this other of Plant's attempts to show off his diversity..... (Har har har dee har har, Hoo hoo hoo, snort, giggle , hee hee!)
The Honeydrippers was just a collection of goofs that allowed their names to be associated with a commercial packaging concept - in hopes of selling a few records off of the hopes and dreams of fans who would have loved to see a Zep reunion at any cost . Never happened.
But we have been blessed with a tune that is playable as "Muzak" in department stores and finer gift shops through the public address system intercom - without even having to redo it with a sappy string section like they would normally have to do with decent songs that were done "well" in their original form. That work of wonderment is , of course, "Sea of Love".
Solid Ted...Nuff said...............

Plant formed this group early 1981 with Robbie Blunt not setzer, he played with them much later. He did gigs in the UK before recording his first solo album pictures at eleven. The Kirk country club Teesside England on 12/04/81 a night to remember. they recorded vol one 1984, which had page and beck on it.
