Bourne Still Going Strong

Not having read any of the four Bourne books, it's hard to say how well the movies are being adapted. Personally, I've enjoyed the first two films, but I'm very curious to see what *The Bourne Ultimatum*, and finally?, *The Bourne Legacy* films will bring. The last one, released in print June 22nd, is actually written by a different author.

Books aside, I mention the whole series because I can't decide whether I liked the ending of *Supremacy*, which I saw yesterday - probably because I'm tired of the obvious sequel setup endings like in *Spiderman* and *Hulk*. Regardless, I'd say this has been one of my favorite movies of the summer. Despite the fact that I've found senseless violence in films more and more uninspiring, the mystery that is Bourne kept me attentive throughout the whole film. I think it's actually pointless "bad guys" and the violence they promote that annoys me the most about most action films. The Bourne movies have more thoughtfully layered storylines and characters who have more to them than just being good or bad.

That's enough blogging for today. I'm just excited that I've got MovableType working well enough that I can easily post entries now!
