I got on a kick of checking out some movie sites this afternoon. In addition to using my regular resources, I discovered ComingSoon.net (behind the scenes rollout of new Star Wars DVDs) and KillerMovies (Lucas talks about Episodes 7-9). I've been using cin-o-matic (like a fast-loading, compact IMDb) for a while, as well. Each has been added to the /movies section. Following are also some specific movies out on DVD or in theaters I've found particularly notable; I just realized that I haven't seen any of them (other than the SW trilogy on VHS or TV).
*Cellular*, *Team America: World Police*, *Ray*, *Chronicles of Narnia*, and the possible *Ten Commandments* (check out the cast) are the newest ones worth commenting on. TA reminds me of *Mars Attacks!*, for some reason. I don't think I've ever seen a puppet movie, much less one by the makers of South Park! I doubt I'll go see this, either, although you should definitely watch the amusing trailer.
These DVDs come out on my birthday (Sept28): *Andy Goldsworthy's Rivers & Tides* (saw this guy's exhibit at the Frist) and *Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind*. Some other films already released this month on DVD that I'd like to see (care to add your two cents?): *Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter... and Spring* and *Man on Fire*.

Pee-wee has two more Herman movies planned. Alternatively, FX, Clooney, and Soderbergh are creating a contemporary TV ...
