Reese's 1st Birthday Photos

This weekend's interstate drive was probably the best fifteen hours that I've ever spent on the road. Weather from Nashville to Charlotte and back was just perfect, and I've got pictures to show it: check out new shots in the 04reese (majority of new photos), 0408, & images albums.

The photos do most of the talking for this weekend. We left work a little early on Friday and got back on Sunday evening; the sunset last night was just beautiful. Fall foliage has started to show, too; here's a shot from North Carolina's Blue Mountains that I found online. Listening to the audio CD of the book Big Fish made the drive enjoyable, as well; the reading and interview with the author, Daniel Wallace, inspired me to make October's Word, too. Traveling aside, the actual visit to my brother and sister-in-law's house also went well. My parents and grandparents traveled down from Philly to make it for Reese's 1st birthday party, too. I'm grateful to be able to make amicable visits with family, even if we only get to do it once or twice a year nowadays. My grandpa keeps trying to cook up another cross country trip like we did when Nick and I were in grade school; I don't know if we'll ever have the time to do that again. If I break out with a web design business/ministry of my own I might just be able to control my own vacation!

Anyway, t'was a fun time by all. Wish we could have left a little earlier on Sunday, but that was my fault *shrugs*.....
