Cyndi's
List of Genealogy Sites on the Internet is a good index of hundreds of sites about
genealogy.
A few years ago, I had an assignment in school to do a small genealogy project. This
project has turned into a hobbie. I'm turning this page into a source for lots of relevant
genealogical info. Finding out about my past has been a sparodic interest of mine. It's
difficult to find genealogy info on the net. Most of your info is going to come from
talking to relatives and looking at the records they might have. I have lots of Paschall,
Knight and DiUbaldi family records.
MyFamily.com - awesome for making your
own family website, which I've done. Trees made by Ancestry.com; FamilyHistory.com
message board sponsored by MyFamily.com, Inc.
Genealogy.com - okay site. Includes GenForum.com (very good), GenealogyLibrary.com and FamilyTreeMaker.com - Broderbund
software has great genealogy applications.
Civil War Soldiers & Sailors System
- The National Park Service is doing a good thing by compiling a database of Civil War
people. So far, they only have a list of the U.S. Colored Troops, but they'll get
there some day.
AMERICAN - CIVIL - WAR (dave's web
page) - flags and lists of troops - dude's hobby.
PaschalGenie.org - my maternal grandmother's
side of the family.
EllisIslandRecords.org - American Family
Immigration History Center. Where my paternal great grandparents arrived!
