Despite what most people say, making your own website is not easy, especially if you're a perfectionist. There are many factors that enter into the mix if you're aiming to set it up correctly from the beginning and avoid making a lot of changes in the future. I've written an article on getting started on the right foot. On the other hand, if you're not very concerned about making your site accessible to as many people as possible, there are a lot of do-it-yourself shops that can cater to your needs.
Hire me
I can help you get started with something similar to my own website and maintain it for you if need be. My services start at $20/mo plus any initial costs involved in buying the domain name and web space (usually around $15).
Get help finding a professional designer
If the work you need done is beyond my abilities, the power of web communication comes into play. I can help you find a reliable designer or team to make a website for you. Expect to pay at least $30/mo if it involves maintaining a database and/or e-commerce.
