GENERAL MOVIE LINKS (the web's essentials)

Zep's Top 10:
  1. The Internet Movie Database (IMDb.com) - The only place to find info about all movies ever made and to be made.  "My Movies" is excellent; TV and theater showtimes available, too.
  2. Yahoo! Movies - Like everything else Yahoo, this is a fabulous site.
  3. Metacritic - Reviews from many sources. Also includes Video/DVD, games, and music reviews! Added '04Dec8
  4. Ain't It Cool News - Definitely the best informal movie news site out there, run by a bunch of weirdos.
  5. MRQE (Movie Review Query Engine) - Pretty amazing - searches DOZENS of movie sites!
  6. Christian Spotlight - Much like HwJesus but this one is part of the enormous ChristianAnswers network.
  7. CountingDown.com - The Ultimate Fan Site - ALL the info on upcoming movies!  Always loads slowly, though.
  8. Plugged In - Also a magazine, this site reviews films, music, and TV by outlining pros/cons from a spiritual perspective - aimed at teens (and adults if you ask me). Link updated '04Oct27
  9. Moviefone - Don't know why they have "fone" in it.  Movie listings at basically any theater in the U.S. (if you can't find yours in Yahoo; I like Moviefone's intuitive layout, too).
  10. Your Movie Database (YMDb.com) - Like a publicised "IMDb My Movies" to open up dialogue with people having like-movie-interests!  Very fun.

cin-o-matic - Like a fast-loading, compact version of IMDb. Add your own films to a watch list and see how the major reviewers rate them. Added Sep14
UpcomingMovies.com - Greg's Previews on Movies.Yahoo.com; much like AintItCoolNews.com, these sites also keep you clued in on the latest movie news and reviews:

The Jesus Film Project (1979, 117min., RA format) - a well-known movie used across the world to show the life of Jesus.  Based on Luke's gospel.
TheHopeVideo.com (2002; 78min.; WMP, RP, & QT formats) - a newer life-changing Christian movie.
Are You Going to Heaven? (1994, 30min., WMP & RP formats) - here's another good one!
The Gospel According to St. Matthew (1964, 136min., RP format ) - an Italian classic thought by many to be the greatest Jesus film.

QuickTime Movie Trailers - a pretty good depository of new movie trailers

ZAP2it.com TV listings - formerly Gist; customizable - often loads slowly, though
TVGuide.com - listings by zip code, movie database, and other up-to-date info
TV.Yahoo.com does the same thing, but it's not as easy to navigate

All Movie Scripts - Not sure how many, but quite a bit! Beware of popups on this page. Edited '04Oct26
Drew's Script-O-Rama - Over 1000 movie and TV show scripts.

ADANGIO.com Movie Art - they used to have news like AICN, but now they just have loads of posters for in-production movies WAY in advance.
PosterQuiz.com - test your knowledge - fun :-)
RicksMovie.com - loads of movie posters that you can order!
