My favorite podcasts

I listen to science, music, and news commentary podcasts on my bus rides to and from work (and often when I’m in my truck). I gave brief mention of my favorites in August with my “This podcast will blow your mind” Radiolab review of their “Limits” episode, but this entry has a  detailed rundown of 10 more of my favorite channels.

ASAPC Computer Support launches

Instead of spending time on a typical Tuesday Zep, I’ve been pulling apart PCs for the new computer support business that Jon and I have launched: ASAPC. While most technophiles avoid being the “computer guy” for family and friends, it’s actually something I enjoy, so tell people in the South Louisville area that Jon and I are friendly, qualified computer guys. See ASAPCsupport.com for details. A picture is worth a thousand words:

Chasing the theological rabbit

It’s been over a year since I’ve shared some theological musings with Zepfanedites. This is an abridged version of an email chain I recently had with a friend. Names and places have been changed to protect the innocent. I’ll repeat here something I mentioned in the e-mails – in case you don’t want to read through the whole thing: what I’ve concluded is that people either believe or they don’t. I spent about three or four months trying to maintain my belief in Christianity and I even shared my doubts with fellow Christians. In the end, I couldn’t force myself to believe anymore – it’s like that spirit just left me. (For a related biblical passage that has always stayed with me, however, see Romans 1-2, particularly 1:18-32.)
