The Tuesday Zep was a good 43 week experiment. I will continue to blog, but not likely on a weekly basis. As I mentioned in November, I’m going to use the “winter blues” excuse to take a break for a little while and return reinvigorated for the spring! As always, if you have topics that you think I should cover or if you want to guest blog, let me know.

Robyn – Body Talk review

It’s been a while since I’ve listened to an album that everyone I know instantly loves. Robyn’s Body Talk trilogy is easily one of the best dance albums of the year. One could compare it to Hot Chip, Madonna, Sean Paul and a host of other high-energy artists, but Body Talk stands on its own two feet. A friend of mine calls it “hot, sexy fun” and one of my coworkers wanted to set up a disco light in her cubicle when she was listening to it on her headphones.

A review of Lulu’s book-publishing service

Over the past eight or nine months, I’ve gotten a taste of what I imagine a book editor goes through. My grandpa and I have been secretly working on his memoirs since earlier this year and we’ve finally printed copies of it using Lulu.com. We rushed to get it done so he could purchase 24 copies to give to friends and family for Christmas. When I was researching which self-publishers to use, I couldn’t find many good overviews or photos of Lulu, so hopefully this will be helpful to others doing the same.

The hazards and joys of bus commuting

I’ve been riding the bus to work for over five months. People frequently ask me what it’s like, so I present to you the good, the bad, and the ugly of bus commuting in Louisville, Kentucky. (See 12/15 UPDATE at the end about the bus breaking down.)
