Just married!

In a private ceremony on Sunday, May 17th, 2026, we wed at the Quiet Garden overlooking Lake Nevin, surrounded by nature. We were even visited by J’s favorite bird (the red-winged blackbird)!

A newly-wed man in a gray suit carries his bride in his arms. She is wearing a green flowered dress. They stand in front of a small rock wall overlooking a lake on a sunny day.

We chose the piece “On the Nature of Daylight” by Max Richter, to walk down the “aisle” and Madonna’s “Holiday” after the ceremony.

Bernheim Forest has been a special place for us throughout or relationship. We’ve attended community events and hiked almost all of their 40 miles of trails together.

We had never stayed in Bardstown, KY, together before, but it is not far from Bernheim and we were able to find a great spot to stay for a couple of nights, Bourbon Manor Bed & Breakfast.

While we wanted a small private ceremony, we are excited to share the news of our union to all. We’ve been together for almost ten years and finally had the privilege to make it official.
