Photo Project 365

One photo a day for a year (2012). Now that I have a phone with a data plan, I feel that I can commit to it. Jaynee’s Instagram yesterday morning inspired me to give it a try. You don’t have to start on January 1st, but I’d love to have more people join us. (I’ll keep this page updated with any changes to the project; zepfanman.com/365 redirects here.)

Hibernating

The Tuesday Zep was a good 43 week experiment. I will continue to blog, but not likely on a weekly basis. As I mentioned in November, I’m going to use the “winter blues” excuse to take a break for a little while and return reinvigorated for the spring! As always, if you have topics that you think I should cover or if you want to guest blog, let me know.

Blame

This is the first time that I’ve almost completely forgotten to post the Tuesday Zep. It’s 9 am Tuesday and I just realized that I haven’t prepared anything. I’m reminded of the (uncensored) “Blame” piece Jason, Jon, and I composed a few years ago (before Foxx’s “Blame It”). I probably shouldn’t mention it—it would be wise not to post any of this kitsch—but if you want more diary-style insights into my 2007-2009 life,  you can look for links on my History page. Sorry. Next week, I’ll be ON IT!

Chasing the theological rabbit

It’s been over a year since I’ve shared some theological musings with Zepfanedites. This is an abridged version of an email chain I recently had with a friend. Names and places have been changed to protect the innocent. I’ll repeat here something I mentioned in the e-mails – in case you don’t want to read through the whole thing: what I’ve concluded is that people either believe or they don’t. I spent about three or four months trying to maintain my belief in Christianity and I even shared my doubts with fellow Christians. In the end, I couldn’t force myself to believe anymore – it’s like that spirit just left me. (For a related biblical passage that has always stayed with me, however, see Romans 1-2, particularly 1:18-32.)
