Flood support in TN & KY

It’s taken me several days to come to grips with the flooding in Nashville. At first, it literally hurt too much to read about the destruction in this city so close to my heart, but now I realize that this blog can be another channel to list sources of aide for the disaster. Nashvillest is keeping an updated account.

Google Buzz does not help me

Google Buzz is the Web’s latest Twitter-like tool, launched on February 9th. At this point in the game, it’s not the features of these sites (among them being Facebook and FriendFeed) that developers are focusing on, but the built-in user base; Megan Berry on HuffPost agrees. Buzz is just adding to all the loud Web chatter, making it hard to find relevant content. Ironically, I’m adding to the chatter, but only because people have asked me to! Here are my top (admittedly geeky and childish) reasons why Buzz is lame.

Cornell revisits Reznor’s Exotic Birds

I love the 90s. For those following the Trent Reznor vs. Chris Cornell feud/cat fight, Cornell tweeted a quick followup this morning to what seemed like a coup de grĂ¢ce from Reznor on April Fools’:

Now I am sad. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yJYBx5NJULY

After yesterday’s prank, I began to suspect that this was all a hoax. I can’t imagine that Trent Reznor would be so disgusted with a cotaneous musician’s latest work. Cornell also replied to a fan this morning with:

@ldoz NO , I like him just fine. I think he is brilliant. also not a personal issue. I have never fallen victim to the media spun cat fight

I may edit this post with the full history of the feud ASAP. Maybe the research will reveal clues to Reznor’s true feelings about Scream.
